The reasons behind the diary

As my life was turned upside down by a temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, I searched everywhere I could for independent information, for facts and scientific evidence, for someone that could give me answers. I sought for help, understanding and support. I needed hope.
To my deepest sadness, there is not much of these out there. I feel alone, lost and bewildered inside a heavy cloak of pain.

It was this lack of independent knowledge and TMJ-related stories that made me start my own diary and share it with the world. In this little place, I share all my experiences since I started having TMJ disorder symptoms, and a bit of information I have been collecting throughout the years regarding this health problem.
I am turning my pain into words, hoping that these notes will reach someone who is struggling as I am. I am writing not to feel lost and alone, as writing always made me feel better. Writing makes it easier for me to accept reality.

May this blog be helpful for others, as it has been helpful for me. :)

  1. Hello! I want to ask, if your disorder was Loose TMJ or Tight TMJ? BEcause my jaw is loose although I never had an experience of jaw dislocation. I yawn widely and I am afraid to dislocate my loose jawn. Thanks!

    1. Hello Rose! Thanks for your comment. To be honest, I never heard the terms loose or tight TMJ. To what do they refer to exactly? I did a quick search but I couldn't find anything helpful. Thank you very much!
